The precision flying of aerial refueling has always impressed me, but to see it done while the tanker is turning blew me away! I'm assuming the risk of wandering into unsafe airspace in a combat situation would make for a worse day than damage from a refueling mistake.

Out standing video. im 17 and live in Corpus. That day i was watching radar and listening to app/departure (120.9) and noticed the call of rusty 11 flight of 4 come through. i thought it was very interesting so i kept listening the saw yall on radar. went outside and got to see yall fly over. my goal is after highschool to go to college and get my degree and either join the navy or coastguard and become a pilot. thanks for the amazing video!

I am an airline pilot and this specific training should be mandatory. Unusual attitudes in the sim are better than nothing, but still far away from this.

Where do the aircraft keep coming from? The deck is empty and they keep bolting but after every launch there is a new one ready at the cat.

One of my aviation influences was Bob Hoover. I met him once at EAA. Someone asked Bob how he had survived many test flight incidents. He replied that he learned to 'fly through the crash'. Stating the obvious, but another way of saying : FLY the airplane, then deal with the anomaly. Hoover was the real deal.

Had a pilot have a planing link failure on touchdown. They didn't catch it and taxied him up to the bow up against the scupper. I caught it and tried to stop the madness. Got kicked off the deck for getting into it with the yellow shirt. Everyone just doing their job.. Fun times!

Hey Marmalade, I've seen MARFs happen with the a/c flying in a straight line, and with them both in a shallow bank-turn. Which do you think is easier to perform? Straight flight refueling or mid-turn refueling? You might have answered it around the middle part of the video, but im still curious.
